This Christmas, the boys and girls residing in the therapeutic and educative schools of Amalgama7 and members of our care teams have organized various activities to celebrate these holidays.
CTE Can Ros
At Can Ros Therapeutic and Educative School we will start the festivities on December 24th with a Christmas eve, which will consist of looking for different parts of the Christmas tree (decorative balls, star, tree, etc.) that will be scattered around from school. Once the units of coexistence have found them, the tree will be built and decorated at the entrance of the school. At night, we will celebrate together with the “Tió” (catalan tradition).
On Christmas day, as is tradition, the boys and girls living next to the care teams and families will celebrate the traditional Christmas meal where we can share a good table, sweets and Christmas carols.
At the end of the year we will do a yincana to learn how the arrival of the new year is celebrated in different parts of the world. And on January 1st, we will organize a Saint Silvester race around the School.
Finally, on the night of January 5th we will receive the Three Wise Men, who will offer gifts, illusion and good wishes to the resident boys and girls.
CTE Julià Romea
During December we prepare for the Christmas celebrations. For this reason, from different workshops we elaborate the different Christmas motifs with which we decorate the centre.
In addition, we prepare our traditional invisible Friend, which we will celebrate on December 20th. This moment, although symbolic, is highly anticipated by all, since each one, besides the gift, dedicates a therapeutic message to its addressee.
CTE Valldaura
On December 24th, the residents of Valldaura celebrated the traditional “Caga-Tió” (catalan tradition) and then the Christmas Eve dinner with the typical “escudella i carn d’olla” of these dates in Catalonia. Previously, in the cooking workshop, together with the educators and the chef, we will have prepared this magnificent menu.
On New Year’s Eve, we will have dinner together and celebrate the Bonfire of Good Wishes for next year, and on the first day of the year we will wake up with a special breakfast with chocolate and group games.
Finally, the night of the Three Wise Men will participate in the procession of the people of Olvan as bearers of the torches of the floats, and on theThree Wise Men day we will receive a visit in Valldaura of the Kings of the East, with whom we will share a special snack.
