The Casal d’Europa del Berguedà dedicates every day the day of Europe day in a different country and invites to Berga diplomatic, cultural and academic representatives thereof to explain the vicissitudes. “On this occasion, authorities will come from Georgia and, in addition, will come the mayor”, explained the President of the Casal d’Europa, Jaume Farguell. Georgia has been chosen this year, an ex-Soviet republic, because of its link with Berguedà. “There are a lot of Georgians living in the region, but we must also bear in mind that the Regional Council of Berguedà has signed very broad technical exchange agreements with Georgia,” Farguell said.
