Justification of the Day

In recent years there has been a marked increase in the child-adolescent population of behavioral addictions and the polydrug use of psychoactive substances. Some epidemiological studies inform us that progressively these two risk factors occur at increasingly premature ages. Does this emergent situation generate a new pathology? Conflicts in the family, school, out of school, social… teenagers and young consumers at risk, increase?

Goals

The participants of this day, at the proposal of the speakers of the various round tables, we will address among others the following issues:

  • Problematic drug use and behavioral addictions in the child-adolescent population are the cause or consequence of a psychopathological disorder?
  • The neurobiological bases of behavioral addictions, are they the same that intervene in addictions to psychoactive substances?
  • Behavioral addictions and problematic drug consumption in the child and adolescent population, are they here to stay?
  • Do problematic drug use and behavioral addictions in the child and adolescent population affect schools?
  • What is the use that educational centers make of new technologies?
  • Is there a shared regulation of the use of new technologies by adolescent and young students?
  • Do new technologies increase success or failure or do they not affect school performance?
  • What are the elements or strategies used by technology companies to “build loyalty” to a video game or a social network?
  • What impact has the use of transgenic techniques had on the design and genesis of new marijuana strains?
  • Synaptic cannabinoids and the Internet: an explosive and rising binomial.
  • Primary care in teenagers and young consumers of alcohol abuse, other drugs and new technologies: challenges in training, prevention and assistance.
  • What training would be necessary for the professionals of the children’s and adolescent’s clinic in the behaviors of problematic use of drugs and in the behavioral addictions of adolescents and young people?
  • New drugs, new cultural patterns and new forms of use: does biopsychosocial care advance with the demands of the market?
  • What preventive strategies are available to the school and the family in the problematic behaviors of polydrug use and new technologies by teenagers and young people
  • Adolescents and young people with behaviors of problematic use of drugs and new technologies: what hooks us? A debate between protagonists and their families…

Methodology

The style of the days organized by Amalgama7 is not that the speakers of each table make a prior presentation, but that an interdisciplinary debate is established from the first minute of the table, in the first hour, exclusively by the speakers and, later, with the participation of the experts and those attending the Conference.
