Amalgama7 Therapeutic Plan

DOP

Diagnostic Orientation Programme

After the initial contact with the adolescent, the family and their environment, Amalgama7 then proceeds with the Diagnostic Orientation Programme (DOP), an exhaustive exploration through eleven sessions, which include different state-of-the-art technological instruments that make it possible to specify, from a poly-dimensional perspective, the diagnostic orientation.

For each young person attending, an Individualised Therapy Plan (ITP) is defined to be followed, not only based on clinical criteria but also on academic-training, extracurricular and family criteria.

Once the ITP stage has been completed, the families receive a detailed report containing, among other things, the results of the biochemical, psychometric and genomic tests carried out, as well as the diagnostic orientation and the most appropriate therapeutic indications.

TP

Therapeutic programme

The detailed information provided in the report is used to draw up the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP), which includes not only the timing of the therapy, but also the most appropriate therapeutic means and resources to carry them out. In the case of the outpatient centre, a weekly therapy programme is proposed to the patient and his/her family for a period of approximately three months.

If the indication is for a day centre, daily care is offered on a half board basis (six or eight hours a day) where the adolescent will be able, if necessary, to continue his or her studies from his or her reference school.

If the indication is for residential care (therapeutic school), depending on the diagnosis and the therapeutic assessment, a short stay (five months), medium stay (ten months) or long stay (up to twenty-four months) will be indicated. In this case, the adolescent or young person admitted will not only receive the necessary clinical care, but will also be able to continue and complete his/her studies by accessing the corresponding certification. The classes are regulated through agreements in operation with the local administration’s Department of Education whereby the adolescent can obtain their official academic qualifications.

This academic and therapeutic programme is complemented by a wide range of sporting, cultural, educational, leisure, etc. activities.
