Live Christmas at therapeutic schools

This Christmas, the boys and girls residing in the therapeutic and educational schools of Amalgama7 and members of the care teams are organizing various activities to celebrate these holidays.

CTE Can Ros

Christmas parties, at Can Ros we will start with a Christmas decoration contest during the week of December 14 to 20, as well as a Christmas postcard workshop.

On the 24th in the afternoon we will perform a yincana by units of coexistence, in which the residents will have to find the different elements to assemble our Christmas tree and we will conclude the day with a special Christmas dinner.

From December 28th to January 1st, we have organized a sports competition between units in which, apart from practicing different sports (soccer, basketball, volleyball…), we will put the final icing on the traditional Saint Silvester Race we celebrate the morning of January 1st. On this day, apart from a tour of the surroundings of the school, a test is carried out consisting of crossing the pool of Can Ros, thus inaugurating the year with the first bath.

In addition, in the afternoon and evening of December 31st we held a game related to how to celebrate the end of the year in different parts of the world. And to end the evening, after the New Year’s Eve dinner, residents will write a letter addressed to 2019 explaining who they are and what expectations they have for the new year.

During December we prepare for the Christmas celebrations. That’s why from different workshops we are elaborating the different Christmas motives with which we will decorate the school.

In addition, we will prepare our traditional invisible friend, which this year we will celebrate on December 21st accompanied by a special snack. This moment, although symbolic, is highly anticipated by all, since each one, besides the gift, dedicates a therapeutic message to its recipient.

CTE Valldaura

On December 24th, the boys and girls of Valldaura will celebrate the traditional “Caga-Tió” and then the expected Christmas Eve dinner with the “escudella and carn d’olla” typical of these dates. Previously, in the cooking workshop, together with the educators and the chef, we will have prepared this magnificent menu.

On New Year’s Eve, we will all have dinner together and enjoy a show by a theater company. The first day of the year we will wake up with hot chocolate and group games.

Finally, on January 6th we will receive a visit of Magi to Valldaura, with whom we will share a special snack.
