New Year’s Eve and the Magi in the Amalgama7 Therapeutic Schools

To dismiss the year 2016 and start with enthusiasm and renewed energies in 2017, different activities were carried out in the Amalgama7 therapeutic schools.

Yincana farewell 2016

From CTE Can Ros has organized a meeting for these last days of the year. The residents, organized in 8 mixed teams, must overcome the different tests. Each of them gives points to the teams and on the 31st, awards are made to the winners.

The tests are diverse: photographic competition, board games, interpretation, first aid, soccer and basketball tournament, relay race of San Silvestre and a traditional yincana based on the various ways to celebrate the end of the year around the world .

Finally, we make a joint dinner and the traditional bells of New Year.

On day 1, together we celebrate a special breakfast of chocolate with churros to start with energies in 2017.

Bonfire of the good wishes

In the therapeutic schools of Amalgama7 it is traditional, on New Year’s Eve, to perform a group psychotherapy called ‘the Bonfire of Good Wishes’: each writes a wish for the year 2017 and also shares some bad moment That you could have in this year that already ends.

The evening ends with a dinner and a party prepared together.

Celebration of the Magi in Amalgama7

As is tradition, the Magi also arrive for the boys and girls residing in our therapeutic schools.

Thus, the residents of the CTE Valldaura will participate on the 5th in the Cavalcade of Olvan as torchbearers accompanying their Majesties along their entire journey. On the 6th afternoon, the center will receive the visit of the Kings, which will be celebrated with a snack with “roscón” and chocolate previously prepared in the kitchen workshop.

In the case of the CTE Can Ros school, the Magi will visit the residents on the same day.
