Lecture-performance by Werens at the Therapeutic and educative school CTE Valldaura

Last Thursday, September 28th took place at the Therapeutic and educative school CTE Valladura the lecture-performance of Werens, graffiti artist, within the programming of the cycle “FlipArt” organized by the Diputació de Barcelona (Barcelona Provincial Council).

Werens, pseudonym of Ramon Puig, is one of the pioneers of graffiti in Catalonia. Artist born in Sabadell who for almost three decades filled the streets of Catalunya with color and controversy, trained at the Massana School in Barcelona and the London College of Printing, lived the moment when the European graffiti movement, a stream of graffiti foreign to the native, born in the United States. His works of urban art are spread over countless walls and places as diverse as Marrakech, Venice, Berlin, Bombay, New York, London, Lisbon, among others.

The Catalan artist reviewed his career and explained to the resident boys and girls their experiences and anecdotes throughout all these years dedicated to urban art.
