Last sessions of the training course on child to parent violence at CREI Castanyers

Initiated last Friday, April 27th, from Amalgama7 we have given every friday of May sessions of the training course “Child to parent violence: strategies of approach” addressed to professionals of the interdisciplinary team of the CREI Castanyers, belonging to the network of centres of the system of protection of children and teenagers of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

In the areas of residential centres and outpatient care (social services of primary care and others), interdisciplinary teams are formed by various specialists in order to meet and understand men and women who have behavioral disorders and/or emotional deficits. Parents, in many cases, have been removed from custody.

The attention required by these students is essentially educative, in addition to the biopsychosocial and legal. This course on child to parent violence is very thought and addressed to the educators, whatever their academic formation, and part of a theoretical-practical approach with the objective, not only to improve the formative quality, but, and essentially, the professional intervention.
