The Pla de Santa Maria (Alt Camp, Tarragona) is one of the most prolific areas of construction with dry stone.
During the second half of February, the residents of CTE Can Ros will make an excursion to see the Dry Stone barracks that we can find in the surroundings. These are buildings located in areas where there are fields or mountains and which served the shepherds or peasants to take refuge and sleep when they were transhumance or simply working their land. As part of the classroom activities, and as the start of the Earth Festival, which we will celebrate next March, we carry out a journey of almost 2 km that allows boys and girls to observe the different buildings and techniques to work on stone.
