On Saturday, November 25th 2017, the nineteenth edition of the Clinical evaluation and debate Day “Parents and teenagers: towards a meeting point” was held in Berga (Berguedà, Barcelona).
This day, organized by Amalgama7 and the Portal Foundation, to support boys and girls with dual disorders and their families, had more than 250 attendees, including resident boys and girls, family members and care teams from Amalgama7. In the morning we met at the Pavelló de Suecia in Berga to offer various presentations of the work done in Amalgama7 throughout 2017, as well as a follow-up study of the residents we discharged two years ago.
Once the morning presentations are over, we move to the Berga Park hotel to proceed to lunch, in the context of simultaneous tables, where attendees actively participate in a debate on current issues that affect teenagers, young people and their families, with the objective to propose some strategies that can contribute to the improvement of communication between parents and children. And finally, in the last space of the day, we proceeded to the delivery of the clinical discharges and different recognitions to residents of the therapeutic and educative schools of Amalgama7.
