Training course at CREI Castanyers on child to parent violence

Last Friday, April 27th, from Amalgama7 we have given the first session of the course “Child to parent violence: strategies of approach” directed to professionals of the interdisciplinary team of the CREI Castanyers, belonging to the network of centers of the system of protection to the childhood and the adolescence of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Under the title “Main forms of violence in welfare societies at the beginning of the 21st century”, this first session aims to address adolescence, the transition from childhood to adulthood that involves change, temporality, lack of definition and, therefore, conflict… To this, we must add that current teenagers are immersed in a society that promotes violence from spaces such as television, film, music, videogames… and, in turn, live in the bosom of a family, in many cases, increasingly permissive, tolerant and overprotective.

This workshop aims to review the main forms of violence in welfare societies and to influence the variants of teenagers and young people. In the second part, a clinical case is analyzed in groups and, finally, proposals for resolution of the case are presented.
